In December, 2008 I began production of The Zephyr Club with Director, Richard Markosian of Utah Stories. This film project came about through my volunteer work with an informal network of SLC filmmakers, web developers, composers and other artists hosted by the Red Espresso coffee house in SLC. The film's tentative title is The Zephyr Club; the story of a Salt Lake City music venue that operated from 1983 - 2005. The Zephyr Club impacted Salt Lake City's downtown culture, the careers of many musicians and the music industry, by offering offering recording artists a new, tour routing-necessary and very supportive music market in of all places, Salt Lake City, UT. The film tells the Zephyr's unlikely story through interviews with Zephyr management, performing artists, music industry professionals, interviews and archives.
